So what are the odds that both of us, Michelle Siegel and Neda Jones, friends and co-founders of nedandshell.com and this here Weekly Dose, would both be pregnant and
expecting within weeks of each other? It's true, so forgive us as we indulge ourselves in bringing you everything MOM for the month of May.
As always, nedandshell is inspired by the beauty, style, grace and creativity of women, and celebrate the job that ONLY women can do - Motherhood!

gottahaveit Every mom needs a little protection from the sun, and now that your beach days no longer consist of regular applications of SPF lotions, but rather chasing a toddler through the sand--we suggest protection via head-wear. Vero Santes' version made from 'toquilla' (pronounced to-ki-yah) straw gets our vote. The natural colored crochet-weave, floppy panama hat with whip-stitched trim comes in one size fits all. Choose a trim color to match your first ever one-piece bathing suit--oh the sacrifices of motherhood.

tipoff Don't get lazy on us ladies, now more than ever, try to keep those pedicures up to date. We have found the perfect way to show off your 10 little piggies with these whimsical hand-painted updates on the original Dr. Scholl's. Kiss My Feet shoes are the creations of Nancy Bunting and have become a favorite with the prep set--not that you have to be a preppster to appreciate. Styles come in varying heels, choose from platform, flat or diva to suit your mommy style.

What do Camryn Manheim's son, Jada Pinkett Smith's daughter and Julianne Moore's Asian brocade diaper bags have in common? PoshTots, that's what. Launched in 2000, they specialize in hard-to-find and exceptional children's furniture and accessories. The company is owned by moms Karen Adams and Andrea Edmunds, who met in 1999 at a job interview. As it turned out, the women shared many common interests and just happened to be decorating their children's rooms. After expressing frustration with the lack of truly unique items for children's rooms, "We realized there was a need in the marketplace -- a resource for parents to find extraordinary furnishings for their children all in one place." Since then, their company has featured the work of over 100 exclusive artists and designers from around the world.
